Wangi Wangi Public School

A BIG thank you to the Mums and Dads who help with reading groups!!   Mondays are especially terrific, although there are always helpers during the rest of the week. Your support has been fantastic and has benefited your child and others in their group immensely.

As the year draws to a close would you please send in a folder containing removable plastic sleeves, if you haven’t already done so.
Our final walk to Wangi Wangi Library will be next Wednesday 26/11. We will be leaving after recess. Don’t forget library cards and carry bags.

A BIG thank you to the parents and other family members of our children who came to the Zoo with us last Wednesday. We had a FANTASTIC day even though the weather did everything it could to deter us!!

Next Tuesday we are again walking to Wangi  Library after recess. As always, you are welcome to walk with us. Your child will need to bring their library card and a bag if they wish to borrow books, games or DVDs.

As the weather begins to heat up please ensure your child has water to drink and a hat. The NO HAT, NO PLAY rule is strictly enforced.

Welcome back to the final term of Kindergarten – we are already organising next year’s Kinder Orientation days!!

It seems like only a month ago that your little ones were looking closely at BIG SCHOOL!  Haven’t they come a long way?

Beginning this week ALL children must go down to the playground upon their arrival at school.  The children are now familiar with routines and can cope with being given their independence, so as soon as your child has put his/ her home reader, word bag and fruit into the basket they need to leave you on the verandah and go and play with their friends.

There will be a news afternoon next Monday after recess.  Your child will be given an opportunity to talk to the class about something that has happened to him/her or that interests him/her.  Please ensure that valuable or breakables items are not brought to school.

Kinder 2009 Orientation Day …

For children beginning school in 2009 and their parents will be Tuesday 11/11/08 at 9:30am in the hall.

Buddy Training Day (present Year 5 students) will be held Tuesday 4/11/08 at school
